It is the intent of the White Pine Historical Railroad Foundation to preserve the historical character of the Nevada Northern Railway facilities and railroad equipment. In January 1992, the Nevada Northern Railway Endowment Fund was established to provide direct financial support from it's members. The fund will be used for the rehabilitation of the railroad complex, as match monies for grants, and for actual construction and restoration resources. In September 2006, the Nevada Northern Railway complex at East Ely was designated a National Historic Landmark.

Sustaining memberships include a subscription to Ghost Tracks, both a silver locomotive 93 coin and a copper locomotive 93 coin, a curator's tour of the railway, a 35% ticket discount*, and a 15% gift shop discount. 

Patron—$500 annually (or $41.67 monthly; $470 tax deductible)
Members at the Patron level receive a subscription to Ghost Tracks, a director's tour of the railway, a locomotive cab ride, 50% ticket discount*, 15% gift shop discount, a numbered gold plated silver locomotive 93 coin.

Friend—$1,000 annually (or $83.34 monthly; $948 tax deductible)
Supporters at the $1,000 level receive a subscription to Ghost Tracks,a numbered gold plated silver locomotive 93 coin, silver locomotive 93 coin, and copper locomotive 93 coin, a director's tour of the railway, a locomotive cab ride, eight free tickets annually, their name inscribed on a brick in Preservation Plaza, and a 15% gift ship discount.

Supporter—$2,500 annually (or $208.34 monthly; $2,448 tax deductible)
Members at the Supporter level recieve all Friend's benefits plus a caboose charter.

Benefactor—$5,000 annually (or $416.67 monthly; $4,698 tax deductible)
